When a process continually fails to accomplish its purpose, you begin to question why you're using it in the first place. Titus CEO Jonathan Reynolds and President Scott Seefeld had seen the traditional recruiting model fail time after time – largely because recruiters were acting more like stereotypical used car salesmen than a trusted hiring partner. Clients felt like firms were simply trying to sell them something and get paid, regardless of whether or not the recommended candidate was the best long-term choice. They prioritized speed over quality and resumes over actual people. Add to that a lack of accountability in the process, and Jonathan and Scott decided there had to be a better way.
They began dreaming up a different approach to talent acquisition – one that prioritized the quality and excellence of individuals and valued the whole person.
